Little Brody is doing well. He was able to come out from under the jaundice lights for a few days, but learned today that he will need to go back under. It was so wonderful to be able to see his little eyes. He loves to look around and watching him look at his nose is adorable. He also loved being all nuzzled in. It will be hard to see him go back under after a few days of freedom, but I know that this will help with his jaundice levels. They have increased his feedings to 20 ml (he started at 3). They have taken him off vapo-therm and he is on 1/2 liter of air. He does not need additional oxygen - the air through the tube just helps remind him to breathe.
Each day that Brody gets a little stronger, it becomes easier for us to watch him go through all of this, but it is still difficult. We still can't get over how much we love this adorable little boy.
