It has been a good day so far for little Brody. His jaundice levels came down, but he is still needs to be under the lights. They have increased his feedings again and talked about fortifying his milk at the end of this week to add nutrients to help him gain weight. He had a head ultrasound yesterday and everything came back o.k. A huge relief for both Andrew and me. I was able to hold him today and for a good portion of the time he just looked around, laughed, and smiled.
This was something we both needed - I greatly appreciated our time together. Both Andrew and I haven't been feeling 100%, so we try to stay out of his room as much as possible. It has been very hard, but we both know we are doing what is best for our little guy. He continues to grow and loves to stretch and even stick out his little tongue from time to time. He is such a special little boy.
