Busy Day

Today was a busy day for Brody. He had his four month appointment (shots included) and his first NICU follow up appointment. Both Dr. Schutte and Susan from the NICU were so impressed with Brody's growth and development. He currently weighs 12 lbs. 8 oz. and is 23 3/4 inches. He is smiling, laughing, and cooing as well as bringing his hands to his mouth - all great things. He was able to follow an object from side to side and hold his head up while on his stomach. Dr. Schutte said he had great muscle tone and Susan was very impressed with his flexibility and movement. The only thing we need to work on is keeping his head in-line. He tends to favor one side and his neck muscles are a little tight. Susan said if we work on this, it will help him with his head control and neck strength. Brody is right on track for a 2 month old baby and is even doing some 3-4 month old things. He is also on the "normal" growth chart. Tenth percentile...we will take it! Andrew and I are so proud of Brody as he reaches these new milestones. He truly is one amazing little boy.
