Brody Lee Burg was born on May 9, 2010. He arrived 10 weeks early, weighing 3 pounds, 4 ounces. He is currently in the NICU and doing well.
Brody made it to 30 weeks gestation, which was a huge accomplishment. I started having contractions at 23 weeks and was put on strict bed rest at home along with taking Procardia. Five weeks of bed rest was challenging, but the greater challenge came at week 28. My contractions started getting stronger and I was admitted into the hospital and put on magnesium sulfate. This worked for 12 days and on May 9 there was no stopping little Brody from coming. He was born at 3:12 am on Mother's Day. Brody is truly precious. Andrew and I knew we would deeply love our little boy, but I don't think we realized exactly how much.
Please continue to pray for little Brody. He is a fighter, but extra prayers are always good.
